Rachel Yang

Rachel Yang is a Partner at Giant Leap, an Australian impact venture capital firm investing in early-stage companies tackling significant challenges across climate, health and people. Her work is grounded in a belief that entrepreneurship can be a powerful way to solve meaningful problems, and that the strongest businesses can create both commercial value and positive impact. 

Rachel is an active contributor to Australia’s startup ecosystem and a longstanding advocate for greater participation by women in entrepreneurship and venture capital. She co-founded Equity Clear, an industry-led initiative improving transparency around diversity in venture funding that has engaged more than 160 organisations across Australia and was recognised on Fortune’s Change the World list. She has also worked with the Victorian Government on investment and innovation initiatives. 

Rachel has been recognised as Investor of the Year at the Governor of Victoria Startup Awards, Climate Tech Investor of the Year at Climate Salad’s Australian Climate Tech Awards, and a University of Melbourne Rising Star for Young Alumni.
